Rev. Christine S. Boardman, Intentional Interim Pastor

Rev. Christine S. Boardman was born on Easter 1950 and raised in northwest Ohio. She is the youngest of four daughters of a pastor and an elementary school teacher. She has a B.A. from Oberlin College Conservatory of Music in voice and an M.M. from the University of Illinois.

While living in NYC pursuing a career in opera, Rev. Boardman enrolled in Union Theological Seminary. Since her ordination in 1984 in Killington, VT, Christine has served several settled pastorates and has served as a staff member of the Iowa, Maine, Illinois, Ohio, Pacific Northwest and the Illinois South Conferences of the United Church of Christ. More recently she has answered a call to interim ministry, taking additional training in this unique ministry and serving as an interim pastor for churches in Vermont and Pennsylvania. She currently resides half-time in Springfield, VT, and will be in Exeter Wednesdays through Sundays.  Please see Interim Transition Document / Timeline here.

Jen Daysa, Director of Youth & Family Ministries

Jen Daysa was hired in October 2010 to minister to our youth and families. She hails from Redmond, WA. A graduate of Whitworth University and Princeton Theological Seminary, she comes to us with a wide array of experience ranging from hospital chaplaincy to homeless ministry to directing middle and high school programs. She takes a special interest in creative worship, outdoor ministry, and nurturing spiritual development. On her days off, you will probably find her with her family kayaking, hiking, snowboarding, traveling or trying out a new recipe.

Vivian Montgomery, Interim Director of Music

Vivian is a prize-winning keyboardist and recipient of a Solo Recitalist Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. She has been on the faculty of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music since 2003, teaching early keyboards and historical performance practice. She earned her Masters in Early Keyboard Performance from the University of Michigan and the DMA in Historical Performance at Case Western Reserve University in 2007.  Vivian’s performing life encompasses solo recitals, chamber music collaboration, orchestral work and vocal accompanying work throughout the United States. Since 2008, Vivian has been a Scholar at the Brandeis University Women’s Studies Research Center, and has served on faculty there as instructor of Women and Music.   Vivian lives in Medford, MA with her composer husband John Morrison and her 15-year-old son Ezra.  She was Director of Music at First Parish Unitarian Universalist in Needham from 2003 through 2012, and serves as keyboardist and Klezmer band leader (on accordion) at Temple Shir Tikva in Wayland, MA.

Renay Allen, Office Manager

Renay Allen holds a Masters In Business Communications from Southern New Hampshire University. She is the Webmistress of this site, Head Gnome in the pantry garden, and very interested in Sustainability. Renay is also a NH Justice of the Peace. She has been employed in the church office since 2006. Her office is located at 12 Center St. rear. To see her for any of your business needs, please stop by during business hours, Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm.  (9am to noon in the summer)

Faith P. Walsh,  Financial Services Manager

Faith Walsh holds degrees in Accounting from Southern new Hampshire University, and is a CPA. Faith has been employed at the church doing the books and the pledges since 2006. In the past she has been a trustee and a treasurer for the church. Currently, she rings in the handbell choir. Please contact her if you have questions on your pledges or donations.
